Dear Parents and Guardians,
We wish each of your daughters the very best with her upcoming assessments. Autumn Exams commence on Friday 17th October- Friday 24th October. These exams should give your daughter a good idea of how she is progressing in her individual subjects.
As this is a normal school week, students do not have permission to go home during the day whilst exams are taking place. This means that your daughter is expected to stay in school and we would appreciate it if appointments are avoided during assessments. Please do not send your daughter into school in the middle of day or collect her early as supervised study is provided at all times. During non-exam sessions towards the end of the week, we will be assigning important term 1 review assignments and term 2 planning assignments which we really need the girls to complete as part of their ongoing TY personal development journey. We would really appreciate your support and cooperation on this matter.
Students have been advised that exam centres are phone-free zones and they will not be permitted to use phones during study periods.
When revising, students should be active in the learning process. We have discussed active learning methods and exam techniques at assemblies. Note-taking and Graphic Organisers are two effective ways for students to engage with their material.
Change of Subject Request Form - please complete by Wednesday October 22nd - another window for subject change will be made available in February and the end of May 2026. Students receive weekly Guidance classes to support their vocational preparation and as such should connect with the Guidance department if seeking to make a significant change to their subjects.
Change of Level Request Form - please complete after feedback has been received via your daughter’s Autumn Assessment Report which will be issued via VSWare in November.
Please note that our Transition Year Assembly takes place every Wednesday morning at 8:35 a.m. sharp in Hartnett Hall. Attendance is compulsory, as important weekly updates, coursework deadlines, and exam information are shared at this time. Your support in ensuring your daughter’s punctual attendance is greatly appreciated.
Kind regards,
Ms. Anne-Marie Scully
