Dear Parent/Guardian,
Your daughter has received an important letter outlining how to pay for her Junior Cycle / Leaving Certificate exam fees or apply for an exemption to this charge.
Please note that State exam fees were reintroduced under Budget 2026 and remain at the same rates as 2019 (no increase since 2012).

🔹 You will need your daughter’s Exam Number and unique password (in her letter)
Fees:

Leaving Certificate: €116

Junior Cycle: €109
Exemptions:
Students with a full medical card (or covered by a parent/guardian’s full medical card) do not have to pay.
📌 Fees must be paid through the SEC portal — schools do not collect payments
